I am a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor who worked in the private sector before joining Revenue in 2014 as an Assistant Principal. I was promoted in 2019 to Principal Officer, and my role has been part of Revenue’s transfer pricing audit function to date.

I manage a dedicated Transfer Pricing Audit Branch, leading a team of auditors with a diversity of skills. We strive to confront non-compliance while protecting the Irish corporate tax base. Various aspects of the role entail end-to-end transfer pricing compliance and risk assessing. When warranted, the role involves initiating examination of pricing of that company’s intragroup arrangements. This requires persistence and continuous engagement within a diverse blend of businesses, business models and transaction types.

Sharing our different perspectives on complex enquiries strengthens my knowledge base. Opportunities to represent Ireland at international forums facilitates engagement with peers from other jurisdictions, further enhancing the attractiveness of my role.

Having joined Revenue as an Assistant Principal Officer in 2010, I became a Principal Officer in Transfer Pricing Branch in International Tax Division in 2018. I am a Chartered Tax Advisor and a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

I lead a transfer pricing Competent Authority team, primarily responsible for resolving Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs) and Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs). Leading a team in resolving complex MAP/APA cases through negotiations with other jurisdictions demands a combination of technical, leadership and negotiation expertise. It also generates a strong sense of purpose and professional satisfaction within a collaborative environment.

I represent Ireland at the OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) MAP Forum. This is a collaborative global network incentivised to improve tax certainty, avert dispute and provide resolution between jurisdictions.

My work is unique, diverse, challenging, and motivating. I truly enjoy the challenges and opportunities it provides, and the pride it gives me to work in Revenue.
