Revenue seize puppies and adult dogs at Dublin Port

Early this morning (04/07/2017) Revenue Officers seized five puppies and five adult dogs when they stopped two men who were disembarking a ferry from Holyhead. The men, both Irish nationals aged in their 50s, were driving a van and pulling a horsebox and had no pet passports for the puppies and dogs.

The Pomeranian and Spaniel type dogs and puppies are in the care of the DSPCA, who work in co-operation with their colleague animal welfare organisations, and with Revenue to target and confront the illegal puppy trade. A follow up investigation is now in progress.
