Revenue seizes 360 litres of wine at Dublin Port

Today (06/03/2017) at Dublin Port, Revenue officers seized 360 litres of wine, when they stopped and searched a van that arrived into Dublin Port from France.

The van was searched based on routine profiling and the driver, a 41 year old Irish man was questioned. The seized wine has a total retail value of around €5,200, representing an estimated potential loss to the Exchequer of €2,600.

These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the illegal importation, supply and sale of alcohol and tobacco products in the shadow economy.
