Yes, you must keep records to support the Stamp Duty return you filed, including any exemptions or reliefs you claimed. You should always retain records for a period of six years from the date you:
- filed your Stamp Duty return
- paid the Stamp Duty due
whichever is the later date.
Revenue may ask to see these records.
