Charitable Donation Scheme
How does an approved body claim the relief?
Approved bodies who wish to claim the relief must complete their claim through the Revenue Online Service (ROS).
You will need to provide the following information for each claim:
- Donor name.
- Donor Personal Public Service Number (PPSN).
- Amount of donation.
- Confirmation as to whether or not the donor is associated with the charity.
Claims may be submitted by:
- completing an online form (suitable for small numbers of donors)
- or
- uploading a CSV file (suitable for a larger number of donors).
Charities should provide bank details via ROS on a once-off basis to facilitate refunds. To do so, you need to sign into ROS and complete the below steps:
- Under the 'Payments & Refunds' section, select 'Manage Bank Accounts'.
- Under 'Refunds', select 'Manage EFT'.
- Select 'CDS' from the tax type list and click 'Input'.
- Input details in the IBAN and BIC fields and select 'Next'.
- Input the exact same details to verify that the information is correct.
- Sign and submit to ROS.
