Retailer's Off Licence
Overview
A Retailer’s Off Licence allows the sale of alcohol in small quantities in closed containers for consumption off the premises. The following Retailer’s Off Licences (which may also be combined with Wholesale Dealer’s Licence) can be held singly or in combination:
- Wine Retailer’s Off Licence
- Beer Retailer’s Off Licence
- Spirit Retailer’s Off Licence
- Cider Retailer’s Off Licence (not required if Beer Retailer's Off Licence held)
- Sweets Retailer’s Off Licence (not required if Wine Retailer's Off Licence held).
The licensing period is from 1 October to 30 September. This licence will expire on 30 September each year regardless of the issue date.
The cost of each licence is €500.
For example, a Wine Retailer’s Off Licence costs €500. Combining Spirits, Beer and Wine Retailer’s Off Licences costs €1500.
Where you have combined Retailers’ Off Licences and Wholesale Dealers’ Licences, the Retailers’ Off Licence(s) will expire on 30 June.
