Summary
On 07 March 2024, Judge Garavan ordered the forfeiture to the Exchequer, pursuant to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1994, of cash amounting to €80,621 which had been seized and detained on the 31 October 2019 by Revenue Officers at 26 Corr Na gCloch, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo. The cash was ordered to be forfeited as the Court was satisfied that it was proven on the balance of probabilities to represent the proceeds of crime or was intended for use in criminal conduct.
