Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €230,000 in Athlone
As a result of routine operations on Monday (15/08/2022) and Tuesday (16/08/2022), Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Athlone seized 11.6 kilograms of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €232,000.
The illegal drugs were discovered concealed in 3 parcels that originated in Spain and were destined for addresses in Westmeath and Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
