Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €110,000 in Dublin

Last Friday (04 November 2022), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized 5.5 kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €110,000, following the search of a residential premises, under warrant, in the Coolock area of Dublin.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the DMR North Central Coolock and Clontarf Drugs Units.

A man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Raheny Garda station.

Investigations are ongoing.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
