Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €2.36 million in Dublin

Yesterday (17 November 2022), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 118 kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €2.36 million, following the search of a commercial premises, under warrant, in the North Dublin area.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).

A Spanish national in his 50s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Coolock Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
