Revenue seize drugs worth €760,000 in Dublin

Yesterday (18/07/2023), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 100kgs of cannabis resin with an estimated value of €600,000 in Dublin. In a follow-up search of the same commercial premises, a further 8kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €160,000, was also seized.

These seizures were made as a result of a joint operation involving Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).

A man in his 40s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in County Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
