Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €450,000 at Dublin Airport

On Friday (22/09/2023), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Blue, Revenue officers seized approximately 22.5kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €450,000 at Dublin Airport. The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Los Angeles.

An Garda Síochána arrested a woman in her 30s who was taken to a Dublin Garda Station, where she was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. This person has since been before the courts. Investigations are ongoing.
