Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €280,000 at Dublin Airport
Yesterday (19/10/2023), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 14 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €280,000 at Dublin Airport.
The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Frankfurt, Germany.
A man in his 40s was arrested and taken to a Dublin Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
