Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €299,000 at Dublin Airport

Today (27/03/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack, Revenue officers seized over 14.9 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €299,200 at Dublin Airport. The illicit drugs were discovered vacuum-packed within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Toronto, Canada.

A woman in her 50s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station. She has since been charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon. Investigations are ongoing.
