Revenue seize drugs worth €220,000 in Shannon Airport

Over the course of the last two weeks Revenue officers based in Shannon Airport seized illegal drugs with an estimated value of over €220,000.

The illicit drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling, in parcels originating from the USA, Canada and Europe and were destined for addresses in Limerick, Galway and Cork.

Investigations are ongoing.
