Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €380,000 at Dublin Airport
Yesterday (04/06/2024), as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized over 19 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €380,800 at Dublin Airport.
The illicit drugs were discovered within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Malaysia. A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained overnight under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station. He is due before the courts this morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
