Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €6,860,000 in Dublin
Yesterday, 05/07/2024, as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 343kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €6,860,000 in the Dublin area. The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).
A man in his 20s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained at a Garda Station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
