Revenue seize cocaine worth €7.2 million at Rosslare Europort
On Thursday (08/08/2024), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 104kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €7.2 million at Rosslare Europort. The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).
Two men, one in his 50s and one in his 40’s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently being detained in Garda Stations in Wexford and Kerry, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
