Nomination of counsel
The Revenue Solicitor provides a comprehensive legal support service to the Revenue Commissioners. The Revenue Solicitor acts and advises in relation to all matters under their care and management including the:
- conduct of litigation and appeals
- prosecution of criminal offences.
The Revenue Solicitor's Division has a staff of about 40 personnel comprised of solicitors, legal clerks and support staff.
Counsel who would like to be considered for opinion work and, or court work can apply by completing the Counsel/barrister application form.
The completed and signed form, together with an up-to-date Tax Clearance Certificate, should be sent to:
