COVID-19 Death in Service Scheme for Healthcare Workers
In March 2022, the Government approved a COVID-19 Death in Service Scheme for Healthcare Workers.
The scheme provides for a €100,000 payment to the estate of healthcare workers who died having contracted COVID-19 at work.
Any payment made under the COVID-19 Death in Service Scheme for Healthcare Workers will be tax free.
