Decision Support Service (DSS)
The DSS is a public body established to promote the rights and interests of people who may need support with decision-making. For further information on the DSS, their services and the various decision support arrangements available, please see their website www.decisionsupportservice.ie.
The DSS is responsible for keeping a register of co-decision-making agreements, decision making representation orders and enduring powers of attorney. We will need to confirm the position with the DSS before we can deal with you if you are:
- a decision supporter
- a decision-making representative
- or
- an attorney under any of these arrangements.
Your patience is appreciated while we verify the terms of the arrangement.
If you are contacting us as part of a decision-making assistance agreement, we will require:
- a certified copy of the agreement
- and
- the consent of the direct customer (taxpayer) before we can deal with you.
If you would like to contact us in relation to a decision support arrangement, please use our normal contact channels, including MyEnquiries and our telephone lines.
