Submit contract details for the Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) - contractors

The Input Works and Payments service allows qualifying contractors to record details of works completed on properties on which HRI claims will be made.

Who is the service for?

This service is for qualifying contractors who need to:

  • input details of works to be carried out for homeowners
  • input details of payments received from homeowners for these works.

Qualifying contractors need to be registered for Value-Added Tax (VAT) and compliant for Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT).

What you need to use the service

To use the service, you will need the:

  • property ID[1]
  • property address
  • claimant name
  • description of works[2]
  • start and end dates
  • value of the works
  • works ID
  • payment details.

How to access the service

You need to be registered for the Revenue Online Service (ROS) to access the service. Once you have registered:

  • sign into ROS
  • in the 'Other Services' section access the 'Home Renovation Incentive (Contractor)' tab
  • click on the 'Works' tab to see details of the works completed and to record new works.

Note

The Home Renovation Incentive tab will only be visible to you if you are a VAT or RCT registered customer.

[1] The Local Property Tax ID should be given to the qualifying contractor by the homeowner.
