Agent and advisor e-linking

Revenue launched a new agent and advisor e-linking application which went live at the end of March 2025. This application will enhance digital security by protecting both practitioners and their clients from identity theft.

The agent e-linking application will establish a digital approval system for Revenue customers who are:

  • registered for
  • and
  • active on Revenue's online systems.

Customers will now be sent an Agent Link Request to approve or reject in Revenue Online Service (ROS) or myAccount.

When an agent submits an Agent Link Request, the customer will be notified by email that they have received Revenue correspondence. The customer must log in to ROS or myAccount to approve or reject the Agent Link Request.

Accepting the request through myAccount

Customers can accept the request submitted by an agent through myAccount by completing the following steps:

  1. Sign in to myAccount.
  2. Select 'MyEnquiries' on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. In MyEnquiries, select the Revenue Initiated MyEnquiry entitled “Agent-Client Link” request.
  4. They will be directed to the Agent Link Request detail page where they can review the link information.
  5. The customer can then choose to approve or reject the Link Request. 

Accepting the request through ROS

Customers can accept the request to link to an agent using Revenue Online Service (ROS) by completing the following steps:

  1. Log in to ROS.
  2. Select the 'Revenue Record’ tab on the top of the screen.
  3. In their ROS Inbox, select the Revenue document “Agent-Link Approval”.
  4. They will be directed to the Agent Link Request detail page where they can review the link information.
  5. The customer can then choose to approve or reject the Link Request.
