Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC)
The function of the Main TALC Committee is to review and make recommendations to achieve more effective and efficient administration of:
- direct taxes (Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Acquisitions Tax)
- stamp duties
- and
- Value-Added Tax.
The recommendations relate to either administrative practices of the Office of the Revenue Commissioners or of tax practitioners.
Terms of reference
The permanent members of TALC are the:
- Revenue Commissioners
- Irish Taxation Institute
- Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland
- Law Society.
TALC consists of main TALC and several standing sub-committees.
The standing sub-committees are:
Ad-hoc time-bound committees may be specially established under the auspices of TALC to deal with non-recurring matters or projects that may arise.
