How to account for VAT
Repayment of VAT
If your Value-Added Tax (VAT) return results in a repayable amount, you must arrange to have your VAT repayment made directly to an account in a financial institution.
Your repayments may be withheld by the Collector-General if you have outstanding tax returns. You should ensure that all your taxes are paid, otherwise repayments may be offset against outstanding tax liabilities.
