Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €500,000 at Dublin Airport
Today (18/08/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack, Revenue officers seized 25 kgs of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport. The illicit drugs, with an estimated value of €500,000, were discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Thailand.
A male in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in Dublin. Investigations are ongoing.
