Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €181,000 in Kilkenny
On Friday, 13/09/2024, as part of an intelligence-led joint operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 9 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €181,000 in the Kilkenny area.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Carlow/Kilkenny District Drug Unit.
A man in his 30s and two women in their 20s and 30s were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained at a Garda Station in County Kilkenny under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
