Revenue seize drugs worth over €43,000 in Dublin

Today (29/7/2021), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized 281 grams of MDMA, 2,600 ecstasy tablets and five cannabis plants, with a combined estimated value of over €43,000, following a search, under warrant, of a property in the Terenure area of Dublin.

The seizure was made as a result of a Multi-Agency operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Terenure District Drugs Unit at Terenure Garda Station.

A 24-year-old man was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Terenure Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
