Revenue seize contraband worth over €304,000 in Dublin
Over the course of last week (week commencing 22/04/2204), Revenue officers seized contraband worth over €304,000 during the course of numerous operations in Dublin.
Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin made the following discoveries, as a result of risk profiling:
- 11.9 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of over €239,500
- 1.5 kgs of butane honey oil with an estimated value of approximately €30,200
- and
- Various quantities of other illicit drugs with an estimated value of over €14,400.
The illicit drugs were discovered in parcels originating from the UK, the USA, Canada, Thailand and India and were intended for addresses nationwide.
A quantity of retail goods, with an estimated value of approximately €20,000, was also seized due to Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights.
Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.
