Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €200,000 in Tipperary
On 22/01/2025, as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers, seized approximately 10kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €200,000 in Tipperary.
This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Tipperary Divisional Drugs Unit.
A man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained at a Tipperary Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
