Statement of Affairs (Probate) Form SA.2

Overview

The electronic filing of probate applications has been introduced as part of the modernisation of the probate application process. The Statement of Affairs (Probate) Form SA.2, has been developed as a replacement for the Inland Revenue Affidavit (Form CA24).

This form must be completed as the first step in applying to the Probate Office of the High Court for a Grant of Representation. The Grant of Representation is also known as:

  • a Grant of Probate when there is a will.
  • Letters of Administration when there is no will.

A Grant of Representation gives you permission to act on behalf of a deceased person. This allows you to settle the deceased person’s affairs and distribute their net assets to the entitled beneficiaries.
