Submit a Local Property Tax (LPT) Return
Note
Your property may have become liable for LPT for the first time in 2024. If so, you should have valued your property and submitted your LPT Return by 01 December 2023. If you have not yet filed your return, you should do so immediately.
This online service is the easiest way to submit your Local Property Tax (LPT) Return if you:
- own a residential property in Ireland
- or
- are acting on behalf of the owner of a property in Ireland.
You are required to submit your LPT Return online, rather than with a paper form, if:
- your property valuation is greater than €1.75 million
- you are liable for LPT on more than one property
- you have used one of Revenue’s online services before
- you have paid LPT using one of the recurring payment methods, for example, annual debit instruction, direct debit or deduction at source
- or
- you are already required to submit your returns for other taxes (such as Income Tax) online.
