Summary
On 23 February 2024 Judge Martin Nolan ordered the forfeiture to the Exchequer, pursuant to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1994, of cash amounting to €80,000 which had been seized and detained on 7 April 2018 by Revenue Officers at Dublin Airport, Dublin. The cash was ordered to be forfeited as the Court was satisfied that it was proven on the balance of probabilities to represent the proceeds of crime, or was intended for use in criminal conduct.
