Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €300,000 at Dublin Airport
Yesterday (07/07/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack, Revenue officers seized 15kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €300,000 at Dublin Airport.
The cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum-packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Thailand. A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained overnight under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station. He is due before the courts this morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
