Revenue seize MDMA worth €60,000 in County Louth

Today, 06/09/2024, as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 1kg of methamphetamine with an estimated value of €60,000 in Co. Louth. The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Louth Divisional Drugs Unit, Dundalk.

A woman in her 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently being detained at a Louth Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
