Revenue seize cocaine worth €350,000 at Dublin Airport

Yesterday, 17/11/2024, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized approximately 5 kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €350,000 at Dublin Airport.

The illicit drugs were discovered within baggage when Revenue officers stopped and searched a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Zurich, originating in Brazil.

A man in his 70s was arrested and subsequently charged by An Garda Síochána, before appearing before the courts this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
