Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €603,000 at Dublin Airport

Yesterday 02/12/2024, Revenue officers seized approximately 30.2kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €603,000 at Dublin Airport.

The illicit drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack, in vacuum sealed packages in the baggage of a male passenger who disembarked a flight from Dubai.

A man in his 40s was arrested by An Garda Síochána under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. This individual has since appeared before the courts.

Investigations are ongoing.
