Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €380,000 at Dublin Airport

On 31/03/2025, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seize 19kg of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport with an estimated value of €380,000.

The cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Thailand. A woman in her 20s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána in relation to the seizure, and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station. 

Investigations are ongoing.

These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
