Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €446,000 at Dublin Airport
On Tuesday, 15/04/2025, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized 22.3kgs of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport. The cannabis has an estimated value of approximately €446,000.
The cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Abu Dhabi. A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána in relation to the seizure under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 and is now before the courts.
Investigations are ongoing.
These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
