Data access requests

How to make a data access request

You can make a data access request to obtain a copy of the personal data that Revenue holds about you either:

  • in writing
  • or
  • by email.

To assist you in making a request, please complete the Data access request form and return it to Data Protection postal address or dataprotection@revenue.ie.

To enable us to process your request as quickly as possible, it would be helpful if you could:

  • Provide as much information as possible to allow us to identify your data
  • Include a daytime telephone number so that we can contact you if we have any queries in relation to your request
  • Provide your permission if someone else is making a request on your behalf. For example, a friend, relative or solicitor. Permission is usually in the form of a letter signed by you. This authorises the person to write to us for your data and to receive our reply.

Note

We may require proof of identity and address when making a request. For  example, a copy of your passport or utility bill.
