How to locate your goods following arrival to Ireland

On occasion, you may experience a delay in the delivery of your goods following their arrival in Ireland. If this happens, you should contact the courier, postal operator or seller of the goods for an update.

If your goods are selected for a Customs intervention, you may be contacted by the courier, postal operator or their Customs agent. They may be seeking additional information or documents such as the order confirmation or invoice.

If the courier or postal operator have insufficient information to complete the Customs declaration, they may choose to return the goods to the sender. It is a matter for the courier or postal operator to decide.

If your goods are subject to a Prohibition or Restriction, and are seized or detained by Customs, you will receive a written notification. The notification will provide the contact details of the appropriate Customs office.

If you are concerned about the validity of the contact received, you should get in touch with the seller of the goods.
