Security feature
From 20 May 2019, all cigarettes and roll-your-own placed on the market in Ireland must carry a security feature. A tax stamp issued in compliance with Section 73 of the Finance Act 2005 may be used as the security feature.
For cigarettes and roll-your-own which are not subject to stamping (including those sold duty free), manufacturers or importers must:
