Rights of a data subject

Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

You have the right, in certain circumstances, to have your personal data erased by Revenue. For example, you may request the erasure of data which is no longer necessary for the purpose of its
collection. This is under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you wish to avail of this right, you can Contact us. You should set out clearly the:

  • personal data involved
  • reasons why you consider it should be erased or no longer processed.

We will either grant your request without undue delay or explain to you why we will not do so.

The right to erasure cannot interfere with Revenue’s Core business.
